Youth Opioid Intervention Program (YOIP)
What is YOIP?
Quest’s Youth Opioid Intervention Program addresses the serious issues of opioid misuse among youth and young adults (ages 13 - 24). Through this program, we provide immediate care and resources to those who have experienced an overdose or are struggling with opioid misuse.
We are committed to reducing opioid overdoses, preventing chronic relapse, and improving access to recovery support. By connecting individuals to appropriate treatment, the program helps prevent future substance-related emergency room visits and supports long-term recovery.
Why There’s a Need
Opioids, including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription pain medications, are effective for pain relief but can lead to misuse and addiction due to their euphoric effects. Opioid overdoses are now the leading cause of injury-related deaths in the U.S., a crisis worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. To address this, Quest launched the Youth Opioid Intervention Program (YOIP), focused on reducing opioid misuse and overdose among teens, adolescents, and young adults.
